  • Day 01 Thu      Apr 04 ,                        Depart U.S.

    Your journey of faith and discovery is here. Depart Raleigh on the transatlantic, overnight flight to Tel Aviv via United Airlines. (Meals in-flight)

     

    Day 02 Fri        Apr 5                Arrive Tel Aviv / Tiberias

    Arrive in Tel Aviv. Meet your guide and driver and transfer to Tiberias for hotel check-in at Mt. of Beatitudes Guest House.  After time to refresh, gather for dinner. (D)

     

    Day 03 Sat         Apr 06              Tiberias / Kafr Kanna

    Today focus on Jesus’ ministry around the Galilee area. We start by driving to Magdala (the home of Mary Magdalene) to see the site of a complete first century city where Jesus himself visited and taught. Continue to Ginnosar and see the Ancient Jesus Boat. Embark on a boat ride across the peaceful Galilee waters. Visit the Ancient Synagogue and St. Peter’s House at Capernaum; this is where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law and others. Travel to Tabgha for a visit to the Church of Multiplication, built on the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Gather for communion at the Church of the Beatitudes and take in one of the most beautiful views of the Galilee. View Mt. Hermon and the Golan Heights before returning to your hotel Mt. of Beatitudes Guest House (B, L, D)

     

    Day 04 Sun      Apr 07               Tiberias

    Worship in the morning and then drive to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation, the Greek Orthodox Church, and Mary’s Well. Travel to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle, the changing of water into wine – some couples may wish to renew their wedding vows here. Stop for a view of the Sea of Galilee from the Cliffs of Arbel before continuing to Bethsaida at the Majrase Nature Reserve. Return to the hotel in Tiberias. The group will gather to reflect this evening.  Mt. of Beatitudes Guest House (B, L, D)

     

    Day 05 Mon Apr 08                  Cross to Jordan

    AM: Drive to Mt. Tabor to visit the Church of Transfiguration. Continue drive through Jezreel Valley and visit Beth Alpha Synagogue and admire its beautiful mosaic floor. Proceed to Beth Shean, one of the oldest Roman cities in the Holy Land. See the theatre, Amphitheatre, and wide streets adorned by ancient columns.

    PM: Cross into Jordan through Sheikh Hussein border. Once in Jordan, drive to Jerash, the beautiful city founded in 300 BC by the soldiers of Alexander the Great. See the ruins of the Triumphal Arch, the Forum, the Theatre, and the Cardo which makes this one of the best reserved Roman cities in the world continue to Amman Hotel Bristol . (B, L, D)

     

    Day 06 Tue  Apr 09                    Amman/ Mt Nebo/ Petra

    AM: Visit Amman, see the Citadel from which a splendid panorama of Amman can be seen. Visit the Lower City and see the ancient Roman Theatre and Forum. Further to Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George which contains a geographic map of Palestine.

    PM: Drive to Mt. Nebo which Yahweh told Moses to climb to see the promised land before dying. Besides the breathtaking view of the Jordan Valley that extends to the Dead Sea, you will also visit the Church and Monastery. Continue to Kerak and visit the spectacular fort located at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Finally continue drive to Petra and stay overnight at Petra Moon Luxury Hotel   (B, L, D)

     

    Day 07  Wed   Apr 10    Petra

    Full day visit of the beautiful rose red city of Petra. Start the visit by taking an optional horse ride across the Siq into the city. This Nabatean city is one of the ancient wonders of the world. See the Treasury, Amphitheatre, Necropolis, the Court and the Prison. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Petra Moon Luxury (B, L, D)

     

    Day 08 Thu    Apr 11     Cross from Jordan to the Holy Land

    AM: Transfer to Allenby bridge to cross into the Holy Land. Visit the traditional Baptism site of Jesus (Qasr Elyahud), where you can renew your baptismal vows, then to ancient city of Jericho and see Elisha’s Spring, Sycamore Tree, New City and view of Mt. Temptation.

    PM: On to Qumran to visit the excavations of the Essean Monastery and the cave of the Scrolls. Continue to Massada to see the fortress of Herod. Stop and have a swim in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem via the Old Roman Road. Dinner and overnight at the hotel Golden Walls in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)

     

    Day 09 Fri     Apr 12                  Jerusalem /Ein Karem / Bethlehem

    AM: Drive to Ein Karem and visit the Church of Visitation and Church of St. John the Baptist. Continue drive to Shepherds Field.

    PM: Bethlehem: Visit the Basilica of Nativity, Manger of the Chapel of St. Jerome, and the Crusader Cluster. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)

     

    Day 10 Sat    Apr 13                  Jerusalem

    AM: Visit Mount of Olives, Church of All Nations, Ascension Place, Church of Paternoster, Dominus Flevit, Virgin’s Tomb, Grotto of Jesus’ Arrest, Garden and Church of Gethsemane.

    PM: Mount Zion to include: St. Peter in Gallicantu, the Cenacle and the Dormition Abbey. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem. (B,L,D)

     

    Day 11 Sun  Apr 14                    Jerusalem

    AM: Start the day with worship and then a walking tour of the Old City. Visit the Temple Area; see the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, Al Aksa Mosque, St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda.

    PM: Trace the final footsteps of Jesus as you walk the Via Dolorosa. See the Church of Flagellation, Ecce Homo Arch, Church of Resurrection,  Calvary and Holy Sepulchre. (B,L,D)

    Transfer to airport in Tel Aviv for departure to Raleigh on United.

    Costs:  The tour cost is per person based on current airfare from Raleigh, double occupancy,  a minimum of 20 travelers, and subject to confirmation. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed price and/or itinerary, they are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Single room supplements may have limited availability and are on a request basis only.   

  • These tour conditions are subject to confirmation of space and may change until contracts applicable to actual dates have been received and accepted by all parties involved.

    PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Your reservation and deposit of $500 per person are requested immediately to fulfill the group deadline requirements. Note that space is limited and reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. A second payment of $1000 is due November 20, 2024. Final payment is due no later than February 1 2024. The fee for late payment is $50 per traveler. For credit cards, STT accepts Visa and MasterCard. PayPal is also an option in needed.  Additional Supplement of $100 for credit card or PayPal payment will apply.

    REFUND POLICY: All cancellations must be in writing. There is no refund for partial or unused land arrangements. Note: Airline tickets will be issued well in advance of departure and may be nonrefundable. The following penalties will apply: Up to October 19, 2023 – $150 per person administrative fee plus any unrecoverable deposits for  operators or airlines; October 6, 2023 or after– No refund.

    CHANGES TO GROUP FLIGHTS: The group airfare contract for this tour may not allow travelers to make any date or itinerary changes. If you are considering other dates or cities, please submit your request in writing well in advance to secure the best rates and schedule, but no later than June 19, 2023. A minimum fee of $100 per person will apply for changes to group flights in addition to a possible airfare increase.

    LATE BOOKINGS: Passengers registering within thirty days of tour departure will be charged a $50 per person fee. Tour payment in full is required before we can request and confirm space. This fee does not cover any additional airline or ground service charges.
